The vision of Engineering is to prepare innovative yet practical design solutions in a timely manner for all customers. This vision is met by making knowledge-based decisions regarding facility needs and science requirements, and is communicated via detailed engineering drawings, basis of design documents, and specifications that allow for the efficient procurement and installation of necessary buildings and equipment. The engineering function, at its best, will continually look for and discover new and more cost effective solutions to our customers’ needs.
The vision of Maintenance and Janitorial is to keep all facilities, equipment, structures and utilities in good clean, working order for the longest cost effective life at maximum efficiency, maximizing customer satisfaction in the process. This vision is met via making knowledge-based decisions while executing necessary work orders, Preventive Maintenance (PMs), and Life Cycle replacements. In addition, the maintenance function, through the Facilities Engineers will continuously assess the state of all equipment, buildings, and infrastructure and will take necessary actions and make recommendations to our customers in an effort to meet our vision.
The vision of the Construction Group is to execute the engineering designs for new and existing buildings and facilities in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible. In this, the group will promote and support construction initiatives, facilitate information exchange, and promote production and quality processes to improve the end product delivered to our customers.
The vision of Planning and Controls is to deliver excellent value and predictability to the NSF through continued implementation of EVMS (Earned Value Management Systems) and month over month improvements of the TCPI (Total Complete Performance Index) and SVPI (Schedule Variance Performance Index) trends and to create and maintain accurate schedules that reflect and track all aspects of IRIE’s workload. We will provide professional estimates for all proposed work for each design phase that will give the client a clear understanding for their planning, budgeting, and staffing requirements.
